One of the great features about the Philips 3200 (either classic or the LatteGo model), is that it has three adjustable setting for drink volumes. However, the manual only mentions (low, medium, high) without the actual volume size for each setting.
Here is some helpful information on the Philips 3200 drink setting volumes and how you can readjust them.
Philips 3200 Drink Settings and Sizes
The low to high quantity is variable depending on the drink choice.
Philips 3200 Espresso Size
The volume varies between low: 0.85 oz, medium about 1.7 oz and high about 3 oz.
Philips 3200 Americano and Coffee Size
The default settings are: low 4 oz, medium 6 oz and high 8 oz.
Philips 3200 Milk based drinks (Cappuccino, Latte):
It’s a single shot of espresso + the amount of milk you fill into the frother.
Philips 3200 Milk Container Capacity
The milk container can hold up to 8 oz of milk, so that’s the max amount of milk you can brew per serving.
What Is the Largest Latte Size the Philips 3200 Can Make?
You can expect the largest size of Latte to be around 8 oz + a shot of espresso, which in total is less than 9 oz. This might not be large enough for some users, but all you have to do to make a larger serving is use the same drink setting twice to make double the size. Or if you don’t quite want double, adjust the milk volume the second serving.
How To Change Drink Volumes in Philips 3200
The Philips 3200 allows you to change the HIGHEST volume setting only. For example, you can extend the highest espresso setting of 3 oz to whichever new volume you like but do note that it could change the overall taste of your drink.
To Adjust the Drink Volume
1- start by pressing and holding the button for the drink you want to adjust for three seconds.
2- the high volume setting will start flashing, and so will the start/stop button. This indicates that you have activated reprogramming mode.
3- Press the start button for your coffee to start brewing. Once you have reached your new desired volume, press the start/stop button again.
The machine will now save the new volume for that specific drink but only for the HIGH volume setting. If you use the low or medium volume settings, you’ll still get the default volumes.
