One of the best features of the Keurig K-Supreme Plus and Smart version is their range of temperature settings.
Each of these coffee machines has a set of adjustable temperature settings for coffee brewing.
The only problem is that the brewer doesn’t give you an exact temperature measurement, instead, it uses words like warm or hot.
Below, you’ll find the exact temperature range of the K-Supreme Plus and Smart. I used two sections in the chart:
Brewing temperature and temperature in the cup. This is because the Keurig brewer will bring the water up to a certain temperature when it brews, but the coffee loses some of its temperature as it dispenses.
All temperature is measured in Fahrenheit.
The 6 Temperature Settings on the K-Supreme Plus Smart
When looking at the features of the K-Supreme Plus Smart, you’ll see it has 6 temperature settings: Warm, Warmer, Hot, Hotter, X-Hot, and Max Hot.
Here’s what you should expect from each of these selections:
|Temperature in Cup
As you can see, there’s a difference between the brewing temperature and the temperature of the coffee when it has finished brewing. So having that many temperature settings as an option is great to guarantee a temperature you’ll enjoy.
The Over Ice setting: it brews at 160F and it’s restricted to the 6oz cup size only.
The 3 Temperature Settings on Keurig K-Supreme Plus
The K-Supreme Plus comes with three temperature settings. You can see a three-bar selector on the small display.
Things work slightly differently in this model:
The temperature settings are determined by cup sizes, and it starts at 160F on the smallest cup size and goes to 172F on the largest cup size. The water temperature in the internal tank will be 192F, but the coffee brew in your cup will be 172F on its highest setting.
How To Set the Brew Temperature
Selecting the temperature on your K-Supreme is as easy as toggling the Temperature button.
On the K-Supreme Plus Smart, you’ll see a + and – signs and your display will show one of the assigned words for each temperature. Refer back to the table above to know which temperature you are selecting.
On the K-Supreme Plus, there is just one button and three bars. Press the button to toggle between the three selections.
